Passing by Zanzibar and its Coffee House.

Hanging around the streets of Stone town Zanzibar, looking desperately for a place to take coffee, we randomly landed to Zanzibar Coffee House.

First charmed by the place itself, fresh, peaceful, elegant woody tables, vintage decoration... then it won't take long until discovering the 5kg Probat roaster at the end of the shop and the Marzocco on the bar.

Our barista this day is called Hamid and prepared us a double shot Americano.

A delicate service in a simple white and thin vessel, a drink served just at the right temperature with a nice crema.

A sample of roasted beans are left on the table as well. A tiny detail, probably the etiquette of the House since many years that people might see as a folkloric touch. As far as I'm concerned, I feel like I'm back in my element, paying attention to all the small details, putting apart some defective roasted beans, drinking my coffee delicately to enjoy every sip of it.

The body is deep and dense, sweet with low acidities and a slight bitterness probably due to some defective beans and a bit too dark roast compare to specialty standards.
But still... the first good coffee that I have tasted since our arrival in Tanzania. It will caffeinate me for the rest of the day!
